Kaprun / Zell am See Activities
With over 130km of downhill pistes and year round glacier skiing, the Europa Sport region skiing domain in which both Zell am See and Kaprun reside, is a fantastic destination for your holidays.
The wide pistes are perfect for beginners and allow plenty of room for snowboarders to tackle the slopes beside skiers. There are also over 200kms of scenic cross-country skiing trails and a couple of fearsome black runs.
If you would like a day away from the slopes, Kaprun - Zell am See is a great base from which to go snow hiking, ice skating, tobogganing, paragliding, horse riding or ice climbing.
In the summer months, visitors still flock to Kaprun - Zell am See for a range of reasons. Although there is still some excellent skiing to, it is the mountain walking, climbing and mountain biking possibilities which will most excite those staying in self catering accommodation in the area.
Kaprun / Zell am See Attractions
Kaprun, Austria is a beautiful resort, and offers a traditional Austrian skiing holiday. Kaprun has a wonderful selection of restaurants and bars to choose from, meaning that you never have to worry about cooking from your self catering apartment in Kaprun, if you are too tired after a hard day on the slopes. For snowboarders, there are boarder cross runs, two snow parks and 365 days of skiing and boarding a year on the high altitude Kitzsteinhorn Glacier.
Zell am See is a delightful lakeside town, whose old centre exudes charm which cannot fail to endear visitors. Take a 1 hour boat ride around the lake or if your feeling energetic walk the 7km trail around the lake.
