Kaprun - Zell am See in Winter
This small alpine holiday village consists of five beautifully built comfortable, modern Chalet holiday homes, accommodating from 2 - 6 people.
The ski bus, the 'Optimum' leisure centre, the Cross Country skiing trails, the Town centre, with its numerous restaurants and shopping possibilities, are just few minutes walking distance away.
All of the Chalets houses & apartments have a patio area with small garden and car parking space. Each one is furnished in a cosy Austrian Alpine style, with modern bathroom facilities and generous living area with cable TV. Underfloor-heating and a Danish furnace stove, provide a welcoming warmth. A fully equipped kitchen is provided, with a ceramic hob and oven, extractor fan, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher,coffee machine and all of to-days mod cons.
Dorfchalets is ideally situated in the centre of Kaprun, about an hour and a quarter's drive from Salzburg airport.
Bus-linked to Zell am See 7 km away, Kaprun makes up part of the 'Europa Sport' region, with 130 km of pistes over four mountains. This includes 35 km of pistes on the Kitzsteinhorn mountain 3,000 m, the glacier provides all year round skiing.
In the winter the Maiskogel mountain ski lifts run from the centre of Kaprun. The Schmittenhohe mountain in Zell am See has 80 km of pistes.
All four areas are bus-linked and covered by the same ski-pass. The region is perfect for beginners and intermediates, yet still provides off-piste challenges for more advanced skiers. For even more varied skiing, Kaprun is not far from the ski areas at Saalbach, Hinterglemm and Leogang. The Kitzbuhel Alps are only a 30 minutes away.
